Ranma's Friend and Doctor

Dr Tofu Ono is a character that puts a good ambiance in Ranma 1/2. Indeed he is a very talented martial artist though we don't see him train. The first time Ranma Saotome saw him he was very impressed for Dr. Tofu walked behind Ranma and stand for a while behind him without Ranma noticing it (a good martial artist doesn't leave a trace of his passage when he walks and doesn't make a noise either [so they say].)
 
Kasumi Tendo is Dr Tofu's love but Kasumi doesn't know it. All she remarks is that he acts strangely around her and she laughs at the errors he commits. Indeed when Kasumi is around Dr. Tofu his glasses become white and he acts strangely (confusing a telephone for a bowl of soup....). Because of his "transformation" he has hurt many of his patients.This love will hurt also Akane Tendo who in the begining Ranma 1/2 had a crush on Dr. Tofu.

Genma Saotome and Shampoo work for him. They clean up the office, answer the phone, make tea for the patients and much more. Dr. Tofu has helped many times Akane and Ranma Saotome in finding cures for the many bumps and hits they gained during a fight. He also finds  remedies for Cologne's "full body cat's tongue's" and Happosai's " moxibustion" that Ranma had to suffer.
