Happosai is a master in martial arts like Cologne. However Happosai is a perverted man and only cares about women's underwear which he steals from many women and collects in a brown bag that he carries around. Happosai is a very strange character for if he doesn't "touches" a women he becomes weak and sick.
Genma Saotome and Soun Tendo were both his apprentices. One night however because he was such a nuissance and a terrifing master Genma and Soun locked Happosai in a basket while he was drunk. For numerous years he has been locked down in his basement but one day he escaped and has been wanting to get revenge from his two apprentices.
Happosai helped a women to give birth to a boy named Pantyhose Taro which he cleaned later on (while Pantyhose was still a baby) in one of the Jusenkyo cursed springs. This old man also taught Hinako Ninomiya how to transform her body into the one of a small child when she desires.
