Soun Tendo is the head of the Tendo Family and Genma Saotome's best friend. When Ranma Saotome and the Tendo sisters were only children Genma and Soun decided to fiancee Ranma to one of his daughters. Soun is a very emotional man and cries easily. Because he is the head of the family he believes that he has the right to decided who his daughters will marry even if they do not seem happy at first (Ranma and Akane).
He is very stong and is very good in Martial Arts.
